Special projects

From the project to the tailor-made finished product

Over the years we have extended with design and production also outside our core business mainly related to the world of actuators for the HVAC market. We have designed, created and also produced items in which we have made the most of the skills acquired during our journey, and experimented in alternative ways that have enriched our baggage. For this reason today we can say that Emme-gi is open to new challenges and we feel able to support the customer also in complementary projects.

Some special projects

Filter actuator

We were given the challenge of creating a rotary electric actuator that would allow integration with an existing cleaning filter unit. The goal was to transform the filter from manual to electrified/automatic.

We created a working prototype to allow the customer to carry out the first functional tests: following the first feedback, the necessary corrections and tuning were carried out.

The entire development of the product was carried out trying to exploit as much as possible the existing filter details to allow the customer to keep the initial variant in the catalog.

As is our custom, the development of the product also included assistance for CE certification.

Planetary gearmotors

For two different customers we designed and built two planetary gearmotors with different characteristics for different applications. Both had to be used in sanitary water circuits, as circuit management or as an anti-scale dosing solution.

One had the particularity of having a rotation of the reducer given by a water fan (no electric motor), and the use of entirely “contact food” plastics, assembled without the aid of fixing screws.

The second project envisaged starting torques of up to 3Nm and extremely compact dimensions, for which a planetary gearmotor was created with high reduction ratio.

Gearmotor for pellet stoves and similar

The development of this product required a technical analysis of the mechanical reduction train that would allow us to maintain the right balance between silence, mechanical resistance, production costs and a multiple combination of shaft output speeds (from 1Rpm up to 8.5Rpm).
